Lancashire County Council Election results

St. Annes turns blue!Following the recent elections both St. Annes seats on Lancashire County Council are held by Conservatives.  In a spectacular turn around Peter Buckley won the St. Anne s North seat from the incumbent Lib Dem councillor with a strong performance in the polls counter to the trend in other areas of the country and the county. County Councillor Fabian Craig Wilson also won her seat again with a very comfortable majority in St. Annes South.  So now both St. Annes seats on the county council are held by Conservatives until 2017.

A truly great and inspirational leader

It was with profound sorrow that our association heard of the passing of Lady Thatcher. An inspirational and decisive leader, a woman who succeeded against all odds and turned around our country at a time of national need. For everyone engaged in politics this is a sad day.  On behalf of all the members of Fylde Conservative Association I send our most sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers to Sir Mark Thatcher and to Carol Thatcher. Brenda Ackers, Chairman of Fylde Conservative Association.
