I’ve lived in St. Annes for 40 years, since marrying my wife Linda, and we now have 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren.
My current role is vice chairman of the Finance & Democracy committee, and my industrial experience benefits me greatly in this.
My work involved negotiating complex aircraft sales contracts with the UK and many overseas governments. My last major negotiation involved a contract to take over maintenance of the RAF's Tornado fleet for 10 years, which saved the taxpayer £550 million.
I'm proud to have played a part in this council becoming debt free, whilst keeping our council tax as low as possible.
