Shirley has been a member of Fylde Conservatives since 1987 when she moved to the area.  Lives in Lytham St Annes with her partner David and her two dogs as well as working in the area.

She became a Fylde Borough Councillor in May 2015 for Park Ward.  Serves on the Environment, Health & Housing Committee, the Licensing Committee and the Public Protection Committee as well as being the FBC representative on the Lancashire County Council Health Scrutiny Committee.

Shirley is a Governor of Pear tree Specialist School, a trustee for Blackpool Boys and Girls Club and a member of St Annes Rotary.

She enjoys spending time with her family, walking the dogs (Jack & Monty) who are both from Homeless Hounds rescue, cooking, listening to an eclectic collection of music and socialising with friends.
