Cheryl is a well known and popular figure in Fairhaven ward and has represented the ward since 2007.
She is a school governor at Weeton Army School and as a St. Annes town councillor she chairs the town's leisure and communities committee.
Cheryl’s commitment to Fairhaven Ward residents is reflected in her achievements: - initiating traffic calming islands on inner promenade, helping residents with Clifton Hospital parking problems and negotiating promenade and motor caravan parking concerns. She has also championed the representation of residents’ opinions on the Fairhaven Masterplan, resulting importantly in a development which will incorporate stakeholder feedback and the wishes and views of residents.
Recently a Fairhaven resident and business woman wrote: "I feel well placed to comment on her work for us all. The first thing I noticed was how accessible she is, and how diligent she is with all enquiries that land in her lap and if she can't provide answers, she usually knows someone who can. During the last four years, she has worked hard to forge a really effective relationship with the local police, which has been achieved by her consistent attendance at PACT meetings and regular contact with officers and PCSO's. Consequently, she has early knowledge of any problems that arise and is able to let residents know of these. All of this adds up to a commitment to serve the residents of Fairhaven and the Fylde to the best of her ability. Cheryl gives her time freely and can regularly be seen in Fairhaven and out and about in St. Annes where she always has time to stop and talk about any issue that is of concern to folk.
