Mark Menzies has launched his campaign for Fylde following his reselection. Fylde Conservatives gathered in Clifton Square, Lytham, to officially start the campaign process in Fylde.

Mr Menzies has represented the area as MP for the past seven years. He said: "I am proud to live in Fylde and would be prouder still to represent the area once again."

Conservatives were out in force to canvass in Cottam.

Fylde candidate Mark Menzies was supported by a large team including councillors and activists who visited residents in the east area of the constituency.

Mr Menzies said: "Many thanks to those who came out and knocked on doors and spoke with residents.

"We had a great response from residents."

Living Wage helps 300,000 out of low pay

The number of workers on low pay in the UK has fallen by more than 300,000 following the Conservatives’ introduction of the national living wage, a think tank says.
