First of all I hope this newsletter finds you all well and healthy, and fingers crossed that the worst of COVID is finally behind us.
Wesham Survey
We had a very successful survey delivery on the 29th January with a good turn out of support. The aim is to get around the borough during the course of this year, ideally once a month on a Saturday morning. If you wish to join us, please come along it really is enjoyable!
Fylde Elections May 2023
Work has begun to put our team of 37 candidates into the field well ahead of next year. We are always keen to speak to anyone who may be interested in standing as a candidate, so if that is you, please contact me, Roger Small, via email at rogpip46@hotmail.co.uk or by telephoning 07724304607 for a no obligation chat on what being a councillor entails.
Council Activities
The Conservative led borough council is doing great work to ensure that Fylde is a great place to live. There are activities planned in all 3 of our town centres involving millions of pounds in investments to ensure growth. Over the course of this year, many of these schemes will be underway, so that residents will be able to see tangible improvements.
Executive Board
February is always a busy month as we prepare for our Annual General Meeting in April. The Executive will meet on the 23rd February by Zoom video link to examine the 2021 financial accounts, as well as preparing for the AGM.
The Annual General Meeting
This year we are holding our AGM at Lytham Hall on Tuesday 5th April at 7pm. There will be a supper and we are looking to attract a guest speaker to address members as well as the formal business. We shall shortly be sending out invite details so put the date in your diary!
Raffle Prizes
No AGM is complete without a raffle and as we are just post Christmas most of us will have potential raffle prizes around. If you have any to donate, please let our Treasurer Cllr. Viv Willder know as she is collating presents. You can contact Viv on 07731516340.
